Winter Rentals at Ocean Reef Resort: Deep Discounts, Big Fun!

When you’re ready to escape to the beach in winter—and we mean a real escape of a month or more—Ocean Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach is standing by to be your home away from home!

Stays that are at least a full month long between December and the end of March are eligible for the winter rental program, which offers deep discounts on extended stays. In addition to the discounted rates for long-term guests, longer stays are taxed differently. In fact, if you stay for 90 days, you’ll be refunded your lodging tax on the 91st day. “A lot of times it almost pays for the fourth month,” said Carrie Rice of Ocean Reef Resort.

But the real fun of winter rentals at Ocean Reef goes beyond simply saving money on oceanfront accommodations. “It’s like they live here, so we make sure to have activities for them. There are day trips, big trips every few weeks, and then there are also activities once a week. Movie nights, pizza night, potlucks, game night,” Rice said. “It’s like a little community.”

Every detail of your winter stay can be arranged to help you enjoy your time in Myrtle Beach. You can have your mail forwarded and the staff will make sure you get it, some winter renters even send down some of their favorite comforts from home, from bedspreads to pictures they hang on the wall!

“It’s really like home, and the camaraderie of the people who stay with us year after year is really fun to see,” Rice said.
