Enjoy a Brew with a View at The Crooked Hammock Brewery

Crooked Hammock

There’s a cool new spot in Myrtle Beach where you can enjoy a cold one and a hammock — The Crooked Hammock Brewery.

Join like-minded vacationers and locals on the Grand Strand, in Barefoot Landing. Crooked Hammock Brewery has two Delaware locations and this location is its biggest yet.

The Crooked Hammock Brewery has a knack for becoming a great member of the community, too. It showed during pandemic lockdowns in 2020. The crew created fun activities customers could take part in from home to stay connected.

What else Makes Crooked Hammock Brewery Unique?

It’s a restaurant and brewery, serving delicious backyard-inspired food and distinctive brews. If it also feels like a backyard party, there’s a reason. It is a backyard beer garden, in North Myrtle Beach’s waterway shopping destination.

Is There Lots of Room for Fun?

For sure. There’s the backyard all ages love, with craft beer and delicious eats, plus:

  • Bar over the lake
  • Bocce ball courts
  • Cornhole
  • Fire pits
  • Hammocks
  • Kids’ playground
  • Indoor/outdoor seating for more than 500 guests

Who's the Man Behind the Plan?

The 9-to-5 grind had Crooked Hammock Brewery founder Rich Garrahan dreaming of easier times. He found himself yearning for hammock time with a cold beer, quite often. So he did the only logical thing: He quit the corporate world and went rogue.

He moved to Rehobeth Beach, tended bar, made a family, and created his dream brewpub.

“At the end of a hard day, I could escape to my backyard, hop in my crooked hammock, and enjoy an ice-cold beer,” Rich said. Now, the dream’s out there for Myrtle Beach to enjoy, too.

Can We Talk about the Beers?

Yes, we can. The Crooked Hammock Brewery serves your year-rounds, available whenever you visit. Some highlights:

Four Tires: An American lager for the modern adventurer who needs only four tires, two friends, and a radio.

Hammock Easy: Low calorie and easy-drinking, this blonde ale maintains a level of health-consciousness and is perfect to celebrate life’s little victories.

How about seasonal brews that’ll have you watching the calendar in thirsty anticipation?

Brand New Day: Tropical Punch: A spring version of their fruited sour series, with pink guava, soursop, and passion fruit.

Hand of Buddha: A citrus spring ale, conditioned on fresh Madagascar vanilla beans.

Where is This Paradise?

Barefoot Landing, at 4898 Highway 17 South in Myrtle Beach. It’s a shopping venue with lots of other fun attractions and leisure amenities. The Crooked Hammock Brewery fits in well as an outdoor-centric recreational destination.
