Making plans for a Myrtle Beach getaway? Be sure to take some time and relax poolside at Ocean Reef Resort with a cold drink and a good book. And rest up for some of the fun stuff going on right now.
When you visit the Grand Strand, there are plenty of things to grab your attention.
Here are a few of our favorites. Some are likely to be part of your routine already, and others will be new to you. We hope you enjoy your next trip to Myrtle Beach.
Places to Shop
On North Ocean Boulevard, the Gay Dolphin claims to be the “nation’s largest gift shop,” at 26,000 square feet. It’s a Myrtle Beach legend, brimming with beach items, collectables, souvenirs, and more. It’s the oldest gift shop on the Grand Strand, having opened in the 1940s, and is a true shopping experience.
There’s a Middle Eastern grocery store in Myrtle Beach, with good Mediterranean stuff. It’s a much-needed addition to the community, where you can get halal beef and chicken, Arabic food, and more. It’s a fun place to explore, too.
New Restaurants to Try
It’s a gem to find on your next vacation in Myrtle Beach, with excellent service, food, and total experience. It’s a small restaurant that packs a big punch, with friendly ownership all the way down. We recommend the Garden Salad, Tartare de Boeuf, and Salmon.
This new place is quickly becoming famous for its hospitality and delicious food. The kitchen here pumps out unbelievable fare, healthy and cooked with love. We recommend the Cous Cous Salad with a Honey Lemon Vinaigrette or Marathon Bites.
… Or Just Go to the Beach!
If you hit the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, you’ll find 1.2 miles of beautiful coastline. Visit shops and restaurants, find fun activities, and just enjoy the sun and waves. This summer promises to be spectacular as travelers return to favorite destinations.
