Piers: The Perfect Place for Photos

There are nine piers in the Myrtle Beach area. For shots out into the ocean, straight down in the waves, or of the skyline, it’s a great place to click and share. Here are some favorites:

Pier 14

It’s a Grand Strand institution, near oceanfront resorts on the Myrtle Beach boardwalk. Its gift shop and restaurants are must-see features here.

Apache Pier

On the Apache Family Campground, it’s the longest wooden pier on the East Coast, at 1,206 feet — almost a quarter-mile. There’s a small rest area halfway down if you get tired walking it!

Cherry Grove Fishing Pier

On the north end of North Myrtle Beach, this pier is a haven for fishermen. If your catch comes up empty, hit the Boardwalk Beach Cafe next door.

What About Myrtle Beach’s Attractions?

You have plenty of options for landmarks on the Grand Strand. Even been to these? Which is your favorite?

Myrtle Beach Skywheel

Myrtle Beach’s favorite attraction, The SkyWheel gives riders a unique view of the beach and skyline. You’ll have a ball seeing Myrtle Beach from a different perspective.

Broadway At The Beach

This place has SO many spots for photo ops — restaurants, shops, entertainment, and more. Do it all, or people watch as you walk the entire circle.

Myrtle Waves

It’s one of the summer’s biggest hits, and it’s the biggest of five water parks in the area. Take the kids and their friends for lots of colorful opportunities for pictures.
