While many of us may have spent quite a few chilly evenings during holiday seasons past driving through well-decorated neighborhoods to take in the Christmas lights (maybe even while singing Christmas carols), it’s a safe bet that few have ever experienced anything like what is fast becoming a bright holiday tradition in North Myrtle Beach — the Great Christmas Light Show!
Imagine taking a 1.5-mile drive through more than 500 custom-made, magical light displays, some up to 55 feet tall. That’s what you’ll find at the Great Christmas Light Show, which will run from November 23 to December 30 (with the exception of Christmas day) at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Visitors will also experience 20 animated figures and holiday scenes where the lights come to life.
Just for the event, the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex has received a park-wide holiday makeover featuring over 2 million lights. Visitors will be treated to a celebration that is sure to capture the spirit of the season.
After driving through the light displays, guests are invited to park and visit Santa’s Village. There, they can meet Santa, enjoy some hot chocolate and s’mores, see the lights up close on the Santa Express Train Ride, enjoy ice skating, take a tube ride down Santa’s 40-foot inflatable slide, and more.

Admission
1-15 guests: $15 per vehicle
16-30 guests: $30 per vehicle
31+ guests: $60 per vehicle (call 843-280-5570 to schedule buses)
Admission price includes Santa’s Village, which features visits with Santa, a petting zoo, and parking, with additional fees for some activities:
Ice Skating: $5 for 30 minutes (includes skate rental)
Santa’s Express Train Ride: $2 per person, children 2 and under free if sitting in the lap of an adult
Santa’s Super Slide: Two rides for $5
